It's race weekend in Ottawa. Canada's largest running event. That's what most people likely will remember this weekend by.
It's also the one year anniversary since my beastie's double mastectomy. That's how I will remember it.
Back on January 1st I signed up for the 5 km race to honour my bestie. Yup. Even had my pink outfit planned. But what happens to 98% of resolutions that are made? Ya. Exactly. Happened to mine too.
Today I am mad at myself. Mad that on the anniversary of her surgery when she walked out that front door with unimaginable strength, I couldn't get myself in shape enough to run 5 km.

And this is why I don't make New Year's resolutions.
